Fun at the Park

The first Saturday we arrived, after a couple of crazy, non-stop days, full of setting up shop in a new country, we took a few hours and joined our friends the Starks and the Contreras at the park. They took us to several beautiful parks here in Gijon and we also were able to see the ocean. We ate lamb at a really neat restaurant and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Now that we are entering the fall and winter season, we will not be seeing too many beautiful days!! They say it rays lots here during the winter!!

Cangas de Onis

We visited a town of about 5,000 people today called Cangas de Onis. We had prepared some envelopes that included a letter explaining who we were and offering free Bible lessons through correspondance, along with a tract in each. The Starks and Contreras had been there before and today we were able to finish getting an envelope to every home in this town. We had a few oportunities to talk with people and pray that the Lord would work in their hearts as they read through the tract. It was a really neat town. A peculiar mixture of the old and the new. It had some great little stores for hours and hours of shopping!! We will have to re-visit this town. = )

We are leaving for Spain tomorrow at 6pm!!! Please pray for our trip. It will be a long one! We will have an 8 hr. flight from Atlanta to Madrid, then we will visit the U.S. Embassy in Madrid for a few papers we need and after a few hours, we will ride the subway to the train station and take a 6 hr. train ride to Gijon, in northern Spain. We will leave tomorrow night and arrive Wednesday night! We are almost done with the packing and are getting excited about our trip! Please keep us in your prayers!

Here is a picture of Aaron and a little friend of his from church. As people were saying good-bye to us yesterday morning at church, Gavin came up to Aaron and gave him a great big hug and told him he would miss him! It was so sweet and of course, I had to get a picture of them after that!! We will miss everyone from church and our family in Georgia!

Florida Fun

We spent this past weekend visiting our family in Ocala, Florida. Aaron had such a great time with his cousin Will. We went fourwheeling at Aunt Melissa's house and swimming at Mimi's, visited Grams (96 yrs. old!!) at the farm, hung out with Papa and were able to see family members we hadn't seen in a while. We will miss everyone in Florida!!
