Trip to Granada

We had such a great weekend....last weekend. I can't believe it has already been a week! We drove down to Granada on Thursday and spent a couple days with the Stark and Puente family.

We were able to help pass out many invitations to their inaugural service in December and the Lord opened the doors for opportunities to talk to several people who seemed interested. It was a cold, rainy weekend, but in spite of the weather, the Lord allowed us to pass out almost 600 invitations!

Aside from the blessing of helping out with the invitations, we also had a great time with friends. It has been said that true friends are hard to come by and we have been blessed with just that...good friends! And we thank the Lord for them!

Here are some pictures of the weekend. I wish I could have taken more, but the rain kind of kept me from pulling my camera out too much! Next time!

These walls are over 800 years old!! I love to imagine what it was like for people living here so long ago!

I wish this would show up better, but here is a wide angle view of the coastline in Lastres. It is definitely one of those....wish you could be here...moments!

Whoever said that a picture is worth 1,000 words, must have meant something like this. If I just told you that it is common here in Spain to hang their clothes out to dry, you might think that was interesting information. But if you see this picture and then have me tell you that this was hanging outside the main door to an apartment building, THEN, you may get a better idea of what I meant!

Aaron loves helping us out with getting tracks in the mailboxes. We really enjoyed this town. It was a LOT of walking, but so beautiful!

Cangas de Onis

We visited a town of about 5,000 people today called Cangas de Onis. We had prepared some envelopes that included a letter explaining who we were and offering free Bible lessons through correspondance, along with a tract in each. The Starks and Contreras had been there before and today we were able to finish getting an envelope to every home in this town. We had a few oportunities to talk with people and pray that the Lord would work in their hearts as they read through the tract. It was a really neat town. A peculiar mixture of the old and the new. It had some great little stores for hours and hours of shopping!! We will have to re-visit this town. = )

Florida Fun

We spent this past weekend visiting our family in Ocala, Florida. Aaron had such a great time with his cousin Will. We went fourwheeling at Aunt Melissa's house and swimming at Mimi's, visited Grams (96 yrs. old!!) at the farm, hung out with Papa and were able to see family members we hadn't seen in a while. We will miss everyone in Florida!!
